| Ramona Elementary Schools | |
Barnett Elementary - Barnett Elementary School opened in September 1992. It has 33 classrooms, a large Library-Media Center, Computer Lab and a Multi Purpose Room. The school is 10 years old; everything is clean and orderly. The campus has been designed to complement the natural surroundings of its location. A creekbed and many large oak trees on campus provide a beautiful setting for learning.

James Dukes Elementary School - James Dukes (JD) is a distinguished and distinctive school committed to excellence. High expectations for ourselves, students and from parents are reflected in our numerous achievements. JD is a California Distinguished School (1995 & 2002), a recipient of the Governor's Reading Award for 2000 and 2001, recognized by Governor Davis as a high performing school and has an award winning PTA.

Ramona Community School - Ramona Community School (RCS) encompasses two alternative education options provided by the Ramona Unified School District. They are the Montessori program and the Mountain Valley Academy home study program. The school was developed in response to community interest and requests for alternative education, which has been provided by the district since 1982.

Mt. Woodson - The Mt Woodson Golf Club designed by Schmidt/Curly Architects, is considered one of San Diego's best and most beautiful scenic golf courses. Set amidst ancient oaks, and granite boulders, the course's natural beauty is breathtaking.

Ramona Air Show - Ramona Air Attack Base was established in 1957. It is the oldest permanent aerial fire fighting base in the United States and one of the most active. The base is operated by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and the U.S.D.A. Forest Service, Cleveland National Forest.

Ramona Parks and Recreation - The Ramona Parks and Recreation Association (RPRA), is the umbrella organization under which Ramona's Community Park and Community Center operate. RPRA functions exclusively as a non-profit organization to benefit our community.

Sutherland Reservoir - Lake Sutherland offers fishing for Florida-strain largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, redear sunfish, channel catfish, blue catfish, bullhead, and carp. Minimum size limit for bass is 12 inches.
